Keith is a member of the firm and its Managing Partner. Keith brings more than 30 years of experience to clients engaged in all phases of commercial real estate transactions, locally and nationally, assisting clients in buying and selling all types of commercial properties, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing matters, and financing.
He also provides counsel on various types of real estate loan transactions involving institutional lenders and borrowers, including conventional, construction and permanent mortgage financing. Clients include one of Chicago’s most active private equity real estate fund managers specializing in the industrial property sector; national, regional and local developers; and owners of skilled nursing and healthcare related facilities.
Keith began his legal career as an associate with Berman, Fagel, Haber, Maragos & Abrams (now Thompson Coburn Fagel Haber), where he practiced as a real estate associate for two years. He then moved to Horwood, Marcus & Braun (now Horwood, Marcus & Berk) where he practiced real estate for five years. From 1992 to 1996, Keith practiced at Rallo & Tepper (now Arnstein & Lehr). In 1996, he and Bruce Mason formed Mason & Wenk, the predecessor of Mason, Wenk & Berman.
Keith received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 1982 and received his J.D from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1985 where he served as Managing Editor of the Chicago Kent Law Review.
