Craig is Of Counsel to the firm and concentrates his practice in commercial real estate and business transactions. Craig has represented developers, local and national real estate companies and entrepreneurs in real estate and business matters, including, acquisition, sale, financing, leasing, exchanging and development of retail, commercial and industrial projects. He has also prepared and negotiated office, retail and industrial leases for both landlord and tenants. In addition, Craig has represented a retail operator of tanning salons in the acquisition and disposition of salons (including distressed asset acquisitions) and distributing companies.
Craig is a certified public accountant with Big Eight accounting experience and practiced law in California with Greenberg Glusker after law school graduation. He then moved back to Chicago where he worked as a real estate associate for Katten Muchin. Craig then went on to trade stock index options at the CBOE for his own trading company. In 2007, Craig became Of Counsel to Mason, Wenk & Berman, L.L.C.
Craig graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with high honors and received a law degree cum laude in 1986 from the Northwestern University School of Law. While at Northwestern, he served as a member and as an executive editor of the Journal of Criminal law and Criminology.
Craig is a Co-President of the Highland Park High School Booster Club (Giants Club) and is involved with the Cancer Wellness Center, Barbara Kassel Brotman House, Northbrook, Illinois (Volunteer Family of the Year (2006-07)). Craig lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife and three sons.
