Adam is a member in the firm and concentrates his practice in commercial leasing, real estate transactions, and real estate finance.  He has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting office and industrial leases, having successfully negotiated some of the largest lease transactions in the Chicagoland area.  He has represented real estate investment trusts, developers, lenders and other business and individuals in a variety of real estate transactions.

Adam began his law career as an associate with the Chicago office of McBride Baker & Coles (now Holland & Knight).  During 1997 - 2004, Adam was Senior Vice President and Co-General Counsel at Great Lakes REIT, a publicly traded office REIT based in Oak Brook, Illinois.  In that capacity, he negotiated and/or supervised every acquisition, disposition and lease transaction for a 5 million square foot portfolio of office buildings.  After the sale of Great Lakes REIT in 2004, Adam became Of Counsel to Mason Silver Wenk & Mishkin.

Adam received his J.D. in 1988 from the Northwestern University School of Law.  In 1985, he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Adam is active in a variety of community and civic activities, including the Leukemia Research Foundation and the Highland Park Plan Commission.  He is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations.  Adam lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife and three children.
